Listen up, Simpsons fans! Did you know that you can actually visit Springfield?
Yes, we realize that The Simpsons is an animated cartoon, but in Universal Studios Orlando, anything is possible! Including spending the day living (and eating!) like Homer. D’oh!
The Big Pink
Start out your day as Homer does with a big, delectable donut from Lard Lad Donuts. You can’t miss this stand in Simpsons land – There is a 30 foot tall Lard Lad holding a gigantic donut. Here you can get the iconic “Big Pink”. This donut is 8 inches in diameter and weighs just under one pound, making Homer say, “Mmmmm, donut. *Gurgling drool sounds*”.
The Big Pink is not only the most Homer way to start the day, it is also a great value snack to share! The donut will easily feed 4 people and costs only $7.99!
The Simpsons Ride
Now that your stomach is full, make your way to cleverly named “The Simpsons Ride”, a 3D simulated attraction that puts you into a new episode mocking theme parks. It’s really funny how much the ride makes fun of both Disney and Universal parks and tourists.
Simpsons Carnival
Just like when the Simpsons went to Itchy & Scratchy land, you fall into a tourist trap right outside of the ride! Here there are carnival style games featuring our favorite, and not so favorite, characters from the show. Just like carnivals, each game will cost extra to play, but you can win fun prizes, even Simpsons themed ones.
Eat at Krusty Burger
Hey, howdy, hey kids! You need to eat at Krusty Burger! No, really. You need to go here. Don’t worry, this Krusty Burger is nothing like the one in the show… If you know you know. BUT! Did you know that you can actually try the famous Krusty Krab Ribwich? The difference is that the one in Orlando isn’t here for a limited time only. It is every bit as saucy, juicy, and addicting as Homer promised it was.

Can’t remember that episode? Don’t worry, it is playing on a loop with clips from other famous Simpsons episodes in the restaurant!
While Krusty Burger is the main restaurant and draw, this building actually resembles a mall food court with different walk up references to other moments in Simpsons history, like Cletus’ Chicken Shack and Lisa’s Teahouse of Horror.

Stroll Through Springfield
There’s so much to see in Springfield! You can get your photo taken with Obediah Springfield, check out Chief Wiggum’s car, and walk through the real-life animated town! This place is loaded with photo ops!
Find El Barto’s graffiti and take your picture with it! #hanginwithElBarto
Be sure to ask Cast Members when Krusty the clown and Sideshow Bob are coming out for meet and greets!
Drink at Moe’s
You can’t possibly have a day being Homer Simpson without enjoy a nice cold Duff at Moe’s! The dinghy bar looks exactly like it does in the show. Pull up a stool and enjoy a cold one. Don’t miss the photo op with Barney stumbling around with his beer!
Do you remember the episode where Moe created the hit cocktail “The Flaming Moe”? You can try it here at Moe’s, only in this version, there is no fire… or baby cough syrup. This drink comes with a souvenir cup that has a special bottom for dry ice to give the “smoke”.
There is one requirement we have for you at Moe’s – If the bartender asks your name, say it’s Seymour. Seymour Butts. It’ll come in handy for when Bart calls.
Late Night Tacos with Bumblebee Man
iAy caramba! We have been all through Springfield and haven’t stopped to see Bumblebee Man! He has a taco truck over by Lard Lad. Now, real talk – these tacos are legit street tacos. Where Krusty Burger is a greasy delicious, but ordinary, burger joint, Bumblebee Man Tacos are elevated and authentic.
Pit Stop at the Kwik-E-Mart
Just like in the show, the Kwik-E-Mart is the place to buy a bunch of stuff that you don’t need, but somehow have to have. We have personally fallen victim to the Duff shirts, Moe’s glass, and of course this handy name tag.
Be warned – It was almost impossible to not do your best Apu impression as you leave saying, “Thank you. Come again!”.
Duff Man!
Finishing off our Simpsons day, we need more Duff Beer and hang out with Duff Man! Ok, Duff Man is actually a statue, but that just means he’s always ready for a selfie. You can grab a cup of Homer’s favorite beverage at this walk up bar.
In addition to Duff and Duff Lite, you can also get some very simple bar snacks, like cheezy pretzels.
Any fan of the Simpsons is going to have a blast in Universal Studios. Hunch your back and put your hands together for your best Mr. Burns’ “excellent”. America’s longest running animated family can now be part of your best vacations. It just goes to show that theme park vacations aren’t “just for kids”.
