Universal Studios is one of the most well-known and beloved amusement parks in the world, attracting millions of visitors every year.
If you’re a Harry Potter fan or simply enjoy exciting rides and unique experiences, this park should definitely be on your list of places to visit. In this blog post, we’ll explore the various aspects of Universal Studios, including its size, attractions, and major differences compared to other amusement parks.
Universal Studios is located in the Universal Orlando Resort, which is a large entertainment complex in central Florida. The resort is made up of three major theme parks: Universal Studios Florida, Universal’s Islands of Adventure, and the recently announced Universal’s Epic Universe, which is set to open in the near future. The resort also includes a water park called Volcano Bay and several themed hotels such as the Hard Rock Hotel and Portofino Bay Hotel.

The current Universal Orlando Resort (excluding the under constructionEpic Universe) is way smaller that Disney World. In fact What I call Universal’s Main Campus is about the same size as Disney’s EPCOT and it’s parking lot. This makes everything on the Mani Campus within walking distance!!!
One of the major draws of Universal Studios is the Wizarding World of Harry Potter, which includes Diagon Alley, Hogwarts Castle, and the Hogwarts Express. Harry Potter fans will love exploring this magical world and trying the Butterbeer at the Leaky Cauldron. There are also many other themed areas to explore, including Jurassic Park, Seuss Landing, and the Lost Continent. Guests can experience thrilling rides like Revenge of the Mummy, Hagrid’s Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure, and the Incredible Hulk Roller Coaster.
One major difference between Universal Studios and Disney Parks is the height requirements for certain rides. While Disney Parks have many rides for small children, Universal Studios tends to have more thrill rides that have height restrictions.
If you’re looking to avoid long lines, Universal Studios offers an Express Pass that allows guests to skip the regular lines for many of the rides. This can be a great option if you only have a limited amount of time to spend at the park. Additionally, guests who stay at a Universal Hotel can take advantage of Early Park Admission, which allows them to enter the park an hour before it opens to the general public.
In recent years, Universal Studios has added several new rides and attractions, including the Hagrid’s Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure and the VelociCoaster in Jurassic World. There are also plans to add a new theme park called Universal’s Epic Universe, which is sure to provide even more unique experiences for guests.
Overall, in my personal opinion, Universal Studios is a great time for the whole family. While there are certainly some differences between Universal Studios and Disney Parks, they both offer incredible entertainment and experiences. Whether you’re a thrill-seeker or just looking for a fun day out with the kids, Universal Studios is definitely worth a visit.
